Russian President Vladimir Putin has been hosting an Eastern Economic Forum, where he hailed his country's trade relations with China as “amazing.” He said Russia and China were putting up a united front against a world order led by western democracies. But it’s far from an equal partnership, with China’s economy many times larger, and Russia supplying mostly cut-price energy and raw materials.
