Russia is creating naval base in a breakaway region of Georgia on the Black Sea coast.
That's according to the separatist leader there, who spoke to Russian media.

Moscow recognized Abkhazia as an independent state, after fighting a war with Georgia in 2008.
The region's self-styled president says he's signed a deal with Russia for a permanent base.

That's as Ukraine expands its attacks on Russian-controlled Crimea. Kyiv's targets last month included the Black Sea Fleet command headquarters in Sevastopol.

Let's get more on this from Yulia Shapovalova who’s live in Moscow.
