In this episode of On The Record, the chair of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Roslyn Morauta, speaks with Al Jazeera’s Samantha Johnson about how her organisation hopes to end HIV, tuberculosis and malaria by 2030. Morauta explains how, during the COVID pandemic, the Global Fund contributed to providing non-vaccine-related assistance to countries, and how 2022 was their most successful year to date in treating the three diseases they focus on. She also highlights the challenges in funding and the need to tailor programmes for treating and reducing HIV infection rates.
