Lord Philip Hammond told Sophy Ridge on Sunday that the rise in corporation tax is the "right decision for now".

Lord Hammond added that the Chancellor faces three problems - demonstrating fiscal responsibility, battling against inflation and driving economic growth.

He also argued that if he was Chancellor now, he would "relax the immigration rules in a very specific and narrow way".
