Turkey is a nation of animal lovers. And in the aftermath of the earthquakes earlier this month, many surviving pets have been found alone in the rubble.

Al Jazeera’s Stefanie Dekker reports from the town of Elbistan on the efforts to rescue them and, if possible, reunite them with their families.
