जम्मू-कश्मीर में पाकिस्तान से सटी सीमा रेखा यानी लाइन ऑफ कंट्रोल पर पहली बार महिला जवानों को तैनाती मिली है. सीमा सुरक्षा बल ने बहादुर महिला जवानों की एक टुकड़ी को LoC की सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी पर तैनात किया है. इसे ऐतिहासिक कदम माना जा रहा है. BSF की महिला जवानों की यह टुकड़ी माइनस से भी 20 डिग्री कम तापमान में समुद्र तल से 14,000 फुट की ऊंचाई पर इस कठोर ड्यूटी के लिए खासतौर पर प्रशिक्षित की गई है.

For the first time, women soldiers have been deployed on the Line of Control adjacent to Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir. The Border Security Force has deployed a contingent of brave women soldiers on the responsibility of protecting the LoC. This is being considered a historic step. This contingent of women BSF soldiers has been specially trained for this tough duty at an altitude of 14,000 feet above sea level in temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees.
