Report Says India Bought Pegasus As Part Of Defence Deal, Other Top Stories

The Israeli spyware Pegasus and a missile system were the "centerpieces" of a roughly USD 2 billion deal of sophisticated weapons and intelligence gear between India and Israel in 2017, according to a report in The New York Times. Rahul Gandhi attacked the Modi government, alleging that Pegasus was used to "to spy on our primary democratic institutions, politicians and public". Night curfew will be withdrawn in Karnataka from Monday and schools and colleges in Bengaluru will reopen as well and other top stories.
