Reeves refuses to rule out tax rises as police drop Rayner investigation

Rachel Reeves has refused to rule out tax rises beyond income tax, national insurance and corporation tax if Labour finds a black hole in the public finances once it enters government.

Meanwhile, Greater Manchester Police have confirmed "no further action will be taken" against Labour's Angela Rayner.

The deputy leader was facing allegations that she may have broken electoral law over information she gave about her living situation a decade ago.
