The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) world outlook is offering a chilly winter forecast.

“Winter 2022 will be challenging. But winter 2023 will likely be worse,” says Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas, the chief economist for the IMF.

The World Bank and the IMF warn next year will feel like a recession after a series of unprecedented shocks and risks.
