Just a few days ago, a video of a group of Bajrang Dal men in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, heckling a young Hindu Muslim couple at a police station went viral. The couple had married in July under Muslim rituals and were simply trying to get their marriage registered. The husband was arrested by the UP police under the Yogi Adityanath government's so-called "anti-Love Jihad" law which attempts to penalise fraudulent conversion, including conversion for marriage despite the young woman saying she married and converted of free will, months before the law was passed.
