'racist... blatant genocide': Native activist fires back at Catholic defender

Jen Deerinwater, founding executive director of Crushing Colonialism, weighs in on the recent rash of anti-Catholic vandalism and arson in Canada, apparently in response to the discovery of numerous unmarked graves of Native children and a renewed awareness of the grim and violent reality of atrocities committed against aboriginal Canadians and their forced assimilation during the country’s founding and settlement. She says that indigenous Canadians experience “blatant genocide” and that they deserve sovereignty and self-determination.
