The Quebec government's decision to double tuition fees for out-of-province students attending English universities has sparked a controversy.

While the government argues that it's necessary to protect the French language, English universities warn that it sends a message to Anglophone students that they're not welcome.

This move has also raised concerns that one post-secondary institution may not survive the hike.
