Firefighters and police in Sherbrooke, Que., have hampered a criminal investigation after mistaking a woman's burnt body for a mannequin.
The remains belonged to a missing woman, and were disposed in a private dumpster at the police station. Officials say witnesses reported seeing someone burning a mannequin, which is how the decision to dump the body was made.
Mike Armstrong explains how the mistake was eventually uncovered, amid fears of a murderer loose in the province.
