The Congress government in Puducherry today faces a trust vote that it will find hard to win after two new resignations on Sunday. Chief Minister V Narayanasamy now has the support of 12 MLAs in the assembly where 14 is the majority mark. But as the Trust Vote debate started, the Chief Minister claimed he still has a majority. He listed his government's achievements and said he became Chief Minister because of his party chief Sonia Gandhi and the DMK's MK Stalin. If the government falls, Puducherry may be placed under President's Rule just months before elections.
