During her daily press briefing on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki challenged a male reporter who questioned whether President Joe Biden’s stance on abortion was consistent with his Catholic faith, saying Biden believes it’s a women’s right to choose whether or not to end her pregnancy.

“I know you’ve never faced those questions, nor have you ever been pregnant,” she said, adding “for women out there who have faced those choices this is an incredibly difficult thing.”

Psaki said the Biden administration was “worried” about other states passing copycat abortion laws, adding that the president had directed his team to “use every lever at their disposal” to ensure women retain the right to abortion as guaranteed to them by the United States Supreme Court.
