Almost 100 vendors who supplied food, beverages, transportation, tents, etc, at Covid migrant relief centres, vaccination centres etc say they still haven't received the payments for their work during the pandemic, even after two years of waiting. They say the Delhi government owes 155 crores to almost a hundred vendors providing different services. Most of these vendors represent MSMEs, and the MSME Act says suppliers have to be paid their bills within 45 days of providing the goods or services. They say they were out on duty to help when everybody feared to step out, but now they have to struggle to even get paid for their work.
