Ravish Kumar says that despite privatisation of education, schools and colleges in many parts of the country are not equipped to provide education matching global standards. Families spend their life savings and also take loans to send their children to other cities for higher studies. A look at the poor standards of administration at Jai Prakash University in Chhapra district of Bihar -- several students have complained that their sessions extend much beyond the schedule due to a delay in conducting exams.
