The BBC chairman, Richard Sharp, is facing further calls to resign, after he was found to have made "significant errors of judgement" according to a damning report by MPs investigating his appointment.

The cross-party committee criticised Mr Sharp over his role as a go-between for a loan guarantee to Boris Johnson, while he had been applying for the BBC job.
