After an opening encounter that was as pleasing to the ears as a mass meltdown at a three-year-old’s birthday party, the second and final US presidential debate just about resembled grown-up politics.
As you'll see from these highlights, mud was slung but, for the most part, toys weren’t. Biden and Trump exchanged blows on topics such as climate change, Covid-19, immigration, racism and the economy.
However, the most personal attacks were around personal finances, with each accusing the other of corruption.
It’s hard to call a winner with these debates, and at this stage their influence is arguable, so we should probably just give a medal to the moderator Kristen Welker for keeping things vaguely civil between these two unfriendliest of rivals.
