President Macron and his Prime Minister are said to be in a "tricky" situation after forcing through a pension reform bill without a vote.

The move has been met with angry scenes in parliament and violence on the streets where hundreds of protesters have been arrested.

Political commentator Agnes Poirier told Sky News members of the French parliament feel "cheated" and there had been a "clear communication failure" to the public with the government now facing a no-confidence vote.
