Ontario says pregnant individuals have been moved to the “highest risk” category in its COVID-19 vaccine priority list and are now eligible for the shot.
The province was the first to prioritize those who are pregnant in its vaccine rollout plan in early March as more information became available that the vaccines were safe and effective.
As Miranda Anthistle reports, the move comes amid a frightening increase in the number of those pregnant being admitted to the intensive care unit with COVID-19.
