Tensions, and expectations, are running high with Pope Francis – the head of the Catholic Church – visiting Iraq. The 84-year-old pontiff is on a mission to bring peace and healing to the war-torn country. Including to northern Iraq, where, between 2014 and 2017, thousands of Christians were killed under the rule of Islamic state fanatics. These days, there are still grave concerns about the threat posed by terrorism and COVID-19. And, the Catholic church itself is in turmoil in many parts of the world, not least Germany. So, on "To the Point" we ask: Pope Francis in Iraq: Mission Impossible?
