Pope Francis has ended his historic four-day visit to Iraq after urging its citizens to forsake sectarianism and asking Muslims to embrace Iraq’s long-persecuted Christian minority.
In northern Iraq, which ISIL (ISIS) group once controlled, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church prayed among the ruins of churches in Mosul before meeting Christians in Qaraqosh town.
