Animal lovers brought their pets to be blessed during a special mass on Sunday for their pooches and other pets at the Saint Francis Monastery in Lima, Peru.
The annual tradition was suspended in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but this year dozens gathered again outside the monastery with their animals.
The blessing is known as the annual “Blessing of the Animals” mass, which honours St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
