The architect Richard Rogers, who designed the Pompidou in Paris and London’s Millennium Dome, has "passed away quietly" at the age of 88, a spokesman has said.
Lord Rogers was regarded as one of the world's most successful and influential architects, also designing the Pompidou in Paris, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, the Welsh Parliament's Senedd building, Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, and 3 World Trade Center in New York.
He won most of his industry's major honours and was knighted in 1991.
