Elections are being held in West Bengal amid a going pandemic. As cases surge, electoral rallies are being organised by the political parties where the crowds gather and don't even follow COVID-19 norms. Social distancing is not maintained.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced a weekend curfew in the national capital. Weekend Curfew is to begin from 10 pm Friday and will continue till 6 am Monday. Only essential services are to operate freely. All markets, malls, gyms, auditoriums, etc to remain shut over the weekend.
