The Israel-Hamas war dominates the first PMQs since the party conferences, as Foreign Secretary James Cleverly prepares to head to the Middle East.

While, The prime minister said Israel has pledged its military will obey international law, amid concerns that a blockade on Gaza constitutes a breach.

Speaking during a visit to Clacton-on-Sea in Essex, Rishi Sunak said: "They [Israel] need to make sure they can keep their citizens safe, that is the duty of government.

"But it is also important that they operate in accordance with international law, and indeed the president of Israel has said that their military forces will indeed do that."
