Families are waiting to find out the fate of their loved ones after a gang war broke out in an Ecuadorean prison in the city of Guayaquil.
After 400 police officers were sent in, they discovered that at least 116 inmates had been killed.
The brutal prison fight first broke out on Tuesday when inmates from one wing of the prison crawled through a hole to gain access to a different wing, where they attacked rival gang members.
At least six prisoners were decapitated, others were shot and some were killed by grenades.
