Efforts" are underway to arrest Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Parvez Elahi after his bail was cancelled by an anti-corruption court in a graft case.

The court cancelled the bail after the PTI leader failed to appear before it. He was granted bail till today.

Elahi’s counsel pleaded before the judge that his client was unable to come as he had pain in his chest.


The anti-corruption court of Lahore rejected the bail of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the case of alleged corruption in development projects.


A hearing was held on the interim bail application of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the case of alleged corruption in development projects.

Pervez Elahi's lawyer told the court that the former chief minister is suffering from chest pain and cannot appear in court. The prosecution argued that Pervez Elahi's medical is fake.

During the hearing, the learned judge remarked, "Show me the reports and I will decide now."

The anti-corruption court in Lahore adjourned the hearing for some time by directing the medical reports to be submitted to the court immediately, while later giving a verdict, it dismissed Parvez Elahi's interim bail.
