प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मंगलवार को अपने मध्य प्रदेश दौरे के दौरान देश भर के 10 लाख से अधिक बूथ स्तर के भाजपा कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ बातचीत करते हुए कहा कि विपक्ष समान नागरिक संहिता (यूसीसी) के नाम पर लोगों को भड़का रहा है। "आज यूसीसी के नाम पर लोगों को भड़काया जा रहा है। देश को दो (कानूनों) पर कैसे चलाया जा सकता है? संविधान भी समान अधिकारों की बात करता है...सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भी यूसीसी लागू करने को कहा है। ये (विपक्ष) लोग खेल रहे हैं वोट बैंक की राजनीति," उन्होंने कहा।

While interacting with over 10 lakh booth-level BJP workers in across the country during his Madhya Pradesh visit on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said opposition instigating people in the name of Uniform Civil Code (UCC). "Today people are being instigated in the name of UCC. How can the country be run on two (laws)? The Constitution also talks of equal rights...Supreme Court has also asked to implement UCC. These (Opposition) people are playing vote bank politics," he said.
