प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने संसद के मानसून सत्र के चौथे दिन संसद में हंगामे और 'इंडिया' शब्द पर बोलते हुए विपक्षी दलों पर निशाना साधा। अगले साल आम चुनाव से पहले लगभग 26 विपक्षी दलों ने एक गठबंधन बनाया और इसे 'आई.एन.डी.आई.ए.' या भारतीय राष्ट्रीय विकासात्मक समावेशी गठबंधन का नाम दिया। भाजपा संसदीय दल की एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक में प्रधान मंत्री ने कहा कि केवल 'इंडिया' शब्द का उपयोग करने से काम नहीं चलेगा क्योंकि "ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी ने भी भारत का उपयोग किया था और भारत का नाम भी इंडियन मुजाहिदीन के नाम पर था"।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tore into the Opposition parties on the fourth day of the Parliament monsoon session as he spoke on the ruckus in Parliament and the term ‘INDIA’. As many as 26 Opposition parties formed an alliance ahead of the general elections next year and termed it 'I.N.D.I.A' or the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance. The prime minister, at a key BJP Parliamentary party meet, said that merely using the word 'India' would not work as the “East India Company had also used India and India was also in the name of Indian Mujahideen”.
