Prime Minister Christopher Luxon joined Breakfast to discuss the Government's nine targets announced on Monday to be achieved over six years. Luxon defended these targets saying they are achievable, measurable targets the public can hold the Government to account for.

The targets discussed were slashing wait times in emergency departments and reducing victims of violent crime. Further discussion was on Fire and Emergency (FENZ) funding, Luxon agreed the Internal Affairs Minister, Brooke van Velden was "doing the right thing" by consulting with on the levy amount. Luxon later spoke about the Christchurch Cathedral restoration, he said it was "unlikely" the Government would make "a further contribution".
