At least 117 countries have pledged to triple the world's renewable energy capacity by 2030.

This was one of several announcements from the UN's COP28 climate summit in Dubai - and was hailed as 'a way to make up for lost time' by the US Vice President Kamala Harris.

Her appearance at the conference was hastily-arranged. It followed criticism over President Joe Biden's absence.
