The Global Council of The International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP) says there have been systematic, state-sponsored and sustained human rights violations being committed by the Philippine government against its own people during the past five years.
And the coronavirus pandemic has not slowed the abuses - instead, the group says, attacks against activists, environmental advocates and rights workers have intensified.
The UN has received a third report from ICHRP, which warns that urgent action is needed, to address a crisis sparked by President Rodrigo Duterte's “war on drugs”.
