Ajay Singh, President of Madhya Pradesh Petroleum Dealers Association said that due to reduction of excise duty by the Central Government, petrol has become cheaper by Rs. 9 and a half and diesel by Rs. 7 per liter in Madhya Pradesh. The general public has got some relief due to the reduction in the price of petrol, but the dealer is facing a loss of 12 to 15 lakh rupees due to the reduction of excise duty. On 4-5 November 2021, the central government had reduced the excise duty on petrol by ten rupees and on diesel by 15 rupees per liter. At the same time, on May 22, the prices have been reduced. Whereas excise duty was deposited earlier. He said that the association has given an ultimatum to the Executive Director of Indian Oil Corporation Limited regarding all these demands. Along with this, petrol pump dealers of Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum have also put their demands in front of the State Co-ordinator.
