Tourists and visitors are trickling back to Machu Picchu, after eight months of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Peru's government made the UNESCO World Heritage Site off-limits in March due to the pandemic, hitting a quarter of a million workers.
It officially reopened this week but with health checks, and capacity limited to 30 percent, or 680 tourists a day.
Al Jazeera’s Charlotte Bellis reports.
