Women's wellbeing campaign Penny Lancaster says a government decision not to allow a trial for "menopause leave" in England will have negative consequences for the economy.

MPs had called on women to be given time off - rather than have to take holiday or sick leave - if they were dealing with the consequences of the menopause.

Ms Lancaster warned the decision would mean women over the age of 50 would be more reluctant to stay in employment.
