In Saskatchewan, where there have been more than 2,200 infections linked to variants of concern, parts of the province are once again in lockdown.
As of Saturday, 2,367 variants of concern have been identified by screening in the province. Regina accounts for 1,626 of the variants reported by screening.
The province also added 221 coronavirus infections on Sunday, and officials reported that three more residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died.
