Since the Hamas terror attacks on October 7, Israeli police say they have arrested dozens of Arab citizens on suspicion of incitement and support for terror on social media. Authorities say they have adopted a "zero tolerance" policy against posts deemed to express support for Hamas. Many of those arrested, though, claim they were just expressing their identity, or solidarity with civilians in Gaza.
About a fifth of Israel’s population is made up of ethnic Arabs. They have Israeli citizenship and many identify as Palestinians. Our Special Correspondent Aya Ibrahim met with members of the community in Nazareth.
