Pakistanis rallied in several cities on Friday against the burning of a Koran outside a mosque in Stockholm.
A man tore up and burned a Koran outside Stockholm's central mosque on June 28 after Swedish police granted permission for the protest to take place. After the burning, Swedish police charged the man with agitation against an ethnic or national group.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had said the nation would protest on Friday, in what he called "Holy Quran Day." The protesters demanded a boycott of Swedish products and the expulsion of the Swedish ambassador in Pakistan.
