The lawyers of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan are challenging the decision to jail the former leader over the weekend.
Mr Khan is currently in prison, sentenced to three years for not declaring money gained by selling state gifts while he was in office, something the former prime minister denies.
The current ruling means Mr Khan will be disqualified from standing in upcoming elections.
One of his lawyers said the manner of his arrest and delivery of the verdict on Saturday was "shocking" and that Mr Khan has not been given the right of a fair trial.
