Operating At 50% Occupancy Financially Difficult: Bengaluru Theatre Owner

Rangashankara, the Bengaluru theatre set up by actor Arundhati Nag in the name of her late husband Shankar Nag, would stage shows six days a week, without fail, for years. But ever since the coronavirus outbreak, there have been no shows since March. This changes from Friday when the theatre opens to the public but with less than 50 per cent occupancy. Front row seats will be kept empty. Speaking to NDTV, Arundhati Nag said, "We are starting live performances to keep the spirit alive but operating at 50% is difficult, financially."
