The province announced the launch of the Ontario Infrastructure Bank on Thursday as it released its fall economic outlook, saying taxpayers cannot fund major capital projects alone.
The province said it will contribute $3 billion in initial funding to get the arm’s-length bank up and running.
The Ontario government also announced a deficit this fiscal year that is larger than anticipated.
