It has been over a year since Pakistan was hit by devastating floods that claimed more than 1700 lives and destroyed millions of homes. Even now, certain areas of the country continue to suffer the consequences. A large number of people are residing in temporary shelters due to inadequate financial aid from foreign countries. Aid organizations estimate that around 20 million individuals still require assistance. The UN Chief has referred to the floods as a prime example of environmental destruction caused by climate change.
