The chairman of the Karnataka legislative council was manhandled and dragged off his chair in unprecedented scenes today in a one-day sitting. In a video, members of the council are seen surrounding the Chair and Deputy chairperson Bhojegowda of the Janata Dal Secular was forced out of his seat. It was always going to be a tense session, with the BJP wanting to remove the Chairman of the Council - and the Congress resisting that demand.
