Fifteen police officers in Belfast, Northern Ireland were injured Friday when clashes broke out between police and protesters using projectiles, including metal rods and fireworks.
The Northern Ireland police service said officers arrested seven people in south Belfast after a small protest developed into a riot.
About one hundred people had gathered in the Shaftesbury Square area where people loyal to British rule in the territory were expected to demonstrate, reports said.
