Marks & Spencer is swapping the name of the famous ‘Midget gems’ for ‘Mini Gems’, after a campaign waged by a disability academic. Dr. Erin Pritchard of Liverpool Hope University, who herself has achondroplasia, the most common form of dwarfism, has stated that the initial term could be offensive to people with growth problems.
