A Norwegian climber is recovering after he became the first person to test positive for COVID-19 at Mount Everest base camp.

Erlend Ness didn't follow Norway's advice not to leave the country and said it was an "easy decision" to go because he was offered free guiding.

He was flown by helicopter to Kathmandu for treatment.
