Unnecessary panic among public on Covid has led them to hoard supplies causing shortage of medicines and oxygen, AIIMS Delhi chief Dr Randeep Guleria said today. A panel of top doctors were discussing the massive spike in Covid cases in the second wave. "There are 10-15 per cent of people who may witness severe infection and may need extra medicines like Remdesivir, oxygen or plasma, Dr Guleria said adding that less than five per cent of patients need a ventilator.
