White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre spoke Tuesday about the ongoing war in Ukraine by Russia, including apparent threats of the use of nuclear weapons, saying that the U.S. has not seen reason "to adjust our own strategic nuclear posture," nor is there indication Russia has plans to "imminently use" nuclear weapons.
"When it comes to potential nuclear threat, we have been very clear about that. We take any nuclear weapons or any nuclear sabre-rattling very seriously here," she said.
She was responding to questions about security assistance being provided to Ukraine by the U.S., saying it was a "continued commitment" they have shown to the eastern European country.
